This document describes enhancements and corrections for School LINQ.
Employee LINQ
Reports
Timesheets
- NEW! When viewing Timesheets, employees will be able to quickly identify possible issues with any Clock Ins / Outs. An error indicator on the Week level, as well as the current placement on the individual record with the error.
Fund Management
Manage Accounts
- Header Details (School Name, Created Date, Start Date and End Date) and a Time Stamp have been added to the Account History, Balance Sheet, Budget Analysis, Income Statement, Trial Balance, and Journal Entry List reports when they are exported to Excel if the Include Report Header on Excel Exports check box is checked in System Settings: System Setup: Unit Setup.
Accounts Payable
- If the user changes the Issuing Bank, ACH Credit Account or ACH Debit Account, they will receive the following message when processing existing ACH invoices: ‘Warning! Currently there are unpaid invoice(s) marked as "ACH" awaiting to be processed. Any changes to the current ACH Information may cause accounting discrepancies’.
- Header Details (School Name, Created Date, Start Date and End Date) and a Time Stamp have been added to the Invoices Due, AP Invoice Aging, Sales Tax Due, Sales Tax Refund, Vendor History, Vendor Listing, and Vendor Payments reports when they are exported to Excel if the Include Report Header on Excel Exports check box is checked in System Settings: System Setup: Unit Setup.
Cash Management
- If the ‘Attn to’ field is populated on invoice, it will print on the check.
- IMPORTANT! ACH Processing—if the Cash Account associated with the Invoice is attached to the bank selected in ACH Setup, then normal accounting will now be used and no system generated Invoice will be created. Intra-fund accounting, including the system-generated Invoice, will only be used if the Cash Account is not associated with the ACH bank.
- ACH Debit and ACH Credit account masks no longer need to be set to all ‘?’s to prevent a system-generated invoice to the ACH vendor.

- Header Details (School Name, Created Date, Start Date and End Date) and a Time Stamp have been added to the Check Register, Deposit Register, and Receipts By Customer reports when they are exported to Excel if the Include Report Header on Excel Exports check box is checked in System Settings: System Setup: Unit Setup.
Manage Events
- The Export link has been updated to be an Export to Excel button. Additionally, Header Details (School Name, Created Date, Start Date and End Date) and a Time Stamp have been added to the Profit and Loss by Event report when it is exported to Excel if the Include Report Header on Excel Exports check box is checked in System Settings: System Setup: Unit Setup.
Payroll
Administration
- The error preventing the user from updating a Pay Group to Allow Lump Sum Worked Hours Entry has been corrected.
- NEW! The ability to generate W2s for multiple states, with accurate state earnings amounts, has been added. So, if an employee worked and was taxed in two or more states through LINQ Payroll, the W2 form now has the ability to print the State tax amounts in separate State fields.
- Header Details (School Name, Created Date, Start Date and End Date) and a Time Stamp have been added to the Trial Balance report when it is exported to Excel if the Include Report Header on Excel Exports check box is checked in System Settings: System Setup: Unit Setup.
Manage Employees
Manage Employees: Jobs Tab
- NEW! A Contacts / Dependents Tab has been added so employees can have Emergency Contacts and Dependents saved on their profile.
- Header Details (School Name, Created Date, Start Date and End Date) and a Time Stamp have been added to the Check History, Employee Deductions, Employee Jobs, Profile Listing, Leave Balance, Local Use and Ad Hoc reports when they are exported to Excel if the Include Report Header on Excel Exports check box is checked in System Settings: System Setup: Unit Setup.
Manage Timesheets
- Header Details (School Name, Created Date, Start Date and End Date) and a Time Stamp have been added to the Timesheet and Attendance reports when they are exported to Excel if the Include Report Header on Excel Exports check box is checked in System Settings: System Setup: Unit Setup.
Input
- A Grand Total of all hours has been added to this report so they can be compared to the timesheets to ensure all time is accounted for.
- Header Details (School Name, Created Date, Start Date and End Date) and a Time Stamp have been added to the Check Register, Deduction Account Validation Errors, and Deduction Register reports when they are exported to Excel if the Include Report Header on Excel Exports check box is checked in System Settings: System Setup: Unit Setup.
Processing
- IMPORTANT! ACH Processing—if the Cash Account associated with the employee’s salary account is attached to the bank selected in ACH Setup, then normal accounting will now be used and no system generated Invoice will be created. Intra-fund accounting, including the system-generated Invoice, will only be used if the Cash Account is not associated with the ACH bank.
- ACH Debit and ACH Credit account masks no longer need to be set to all ‘?’s to prevent a system-generated invoice to the ACH vendor.
- If your unit uses more than one bank for operational / payroll processing, please contact LINQ Support at 1.800.541.8999 for assistance with setting up the ACH Debit / Credit account masks.
School Accounting
Manage Accounts
- The ability to run the Account Activity report by Date Range has been added.
- Select By Date Range from the drop-down list.
- Enter a date range from the From and To fields using the Calendar feature.
- NEW! An Account Listing Report has been added that lists the selected accounts and the offsetting Cash, Fund Equity and Sales Tax Expense accounts.

- On the General Info Tab, an Include Report Header on Excel Exports check box has been added under Report Options.
- This box must be checked and saved for the Header Details to be exported to Excel.
