This document describes enhancements and corrections for School LINQ.

Fund Management

Manage Accounts

Account History Report

  • When running the Account History Report and the Show Invoice Details option is checked, all invoice lines will display on the Account History Report if the amount and description match for the same account number.

Cash Management

Process Payments

  • Due to issues with the Telerik Viewer locking up when dealing with large amounts of data, printing checks and deposit slips will now be printed using a print dialog viewer. This dialog will still allow the user to view the checks before printing.

Utilities

1099 and 1099 Override Earnings

  • UPDATE! A Reimbursement field has been added to the invoice line. The Total field will no longer include reimbursements.
  • The 1099 form no longer prints blank when the Create IRS File box is unchecked.

AL (State) Specific

State Monthly Reporting

  • When Financial is selected as the Report Type, it will now pull any accounts with activity, as well as accounts with Budget Builder entries, even if the account does not have any other activity.

Administration

Reports: W2

  • If an employee’s federal, state, social security, and medical earnings and withholdings ALL equal $0.00 for the tax year, the employee will no longer receive a W2 and will not be included in the W2 file.
  • Box codes 12a-d will no longer appear on the W2 when there is a zero value ($0.00) in the deduction field.

Manage Employees

Manage Employees: Tax / Compensation Tab

  • NEW! Users are now able to adjust Federal Unemployment Tax Act (FUTA) and State Unemployment Tax Act (SUTA) earnings when adding adjustments.
    • From the Tax / Compensation Tab, click CHECKS ISSUED in the Compensation section.
    • Click the adjust link in the lower right-hand corner under the withholding summary. The Add Adjustment window will display with the Earnings option selected by default.

  • Errors in saving Leave Adjustments have been corrected.

Processing

Print Checks / Create ACH

NC (State) Specific

SUTA Report

  • UPDATE! Users can now choose between reporting by Gross Wages or SUTA Wages from the SUTA Setup form.

    • Some of an employee’s wages can be reported as Gross Wages, while other wages are reported as SUTA Wages, ensuring the amount reported on the SUTA Report is correct.

AL (State) Specific

SUTA Report

  • NEW! Alabama charter schools are now able to generate the Alabama SUTA Report in order to upload the information to the State of Alabama.

  • By clicking the setup button, users can set up the needed information for generating the report so that it can be uploaded to the state with the correct information.
  • The SUTA Setup form provides the option to choose between report by Gross Wages or SUTA Wages.

  • UPDATE!Account Balance has been added to the Account Activity Report, whether there has been any account activity or not.
    • Users can check the Exclude zero balance accounts box to only view accounts with activity.
