Sprint 48 & 49 Release Notes 02-17-2020

This document describes enhancements and corrections for School LINQ.

Employee LINQ

Login

When a School LINQ user tries to log in to Employee LINQ before they have registered, the user will receive a “User has not registered” error and be redirected to the Registration page with the Use Existing User Name box checked.

Help files

NEW! Help files have been added to the Log in screen to help new employees register for Employee LINQ, login, and reset their password.
- Click the icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen to access the Registration Help Center.

NEW! Employees can now access Help files after logging in to Employee LINQ that help employees navigate the system.
- Click the icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen to access the Employee LINQ Help Center.

Employee

Clock In / Out

If the district has the Force user to correct missed Clock-Out check box selected in School LINQ System Settings module, employees with missed clock outs must enter a clock out time in the Requests menu before they are able to clock in to another job.

Requests

UPDATE! Employees are now able to add clock in and out records from the Add New Timesheet Adjustment form.
- These requests will appear as “Pending” until approved by the employee’s supervisor in the Manage Requests menu of School LINQ.
- School LINQ admins are able to identify which request types are eligible for employees to use within Employee LINQ in the System Settings module.

UPDATE! Employees are now able to enter time for missed clock outs from the Add New Missed Clock Out form.
- These requests will appear as “Pending” until approved by the employee’s supervisor in the Manage Requests menu of School LINQ.
- School LINQ admins are able to identify which request types are eligible for employees to use within Employee LINQ in the System Settings module.

NEW! Notifications will appear next to the Requests menu when the employee’s requests are approved or denied in School LINQ.

UPDATE! Employees are now able to see their leave balance when entering an absence request with a job that has a leave balance.

Manage Invoices

The issue with the Balance Due not matching the Invoice Total when no payments have been received has been corrected.

Utilities

1099

Users can now reprint 2019 1099 reports.

MI (State) Specific

FID Reporting

The MI Specific menu and FID Reporting option has been added.
- Three reports are created and can be saved to the user’s local computer.
- The files are named with the School Code and Fiscal Year.

Payroll

Manage Employees

Manage Employees: Tax / Deductions Tab

Employee specific employer matching on deductions now shows after calculating payroll.

Reports: Request History

Users can now choose to include request details on the report by checking the Include Request Details box.

Manage Timesheets

The error with jobs appearing in the Job drop-down list that should not be appearing has been corrected.

Manage Requests

UPDATE! Users can now view, approve, and deny Missed Clock In, Missed Clock Out, and Timesheet Adjustment (adding or modifying in/out time) along with Absence requests.
- When a request is approved, the request is processed, and the employee is notified in Employee LINQ.
- When a request is denied, the user may enter comments, and the employee is notified in Employee LINQ.
- Users must have access to request tabs and a Timesheet Approval Group to see employee requests.

Input

Absences

It is now required to input a value greater than 0.0000 in the two Hours fields on the Add New Absences form.

Processing

Calculate Payroll

The system is now comparing the Calendar Date against the Pay Period Cutoff Date, not the Pay Period End Date. This means Other Pay Items are not getting paid if the Calendar Date is greater than the Pay Period Cutoff Date.

UID Import / Export

The Unit ID has been added to the end of the file name for the UID Export.

EmployeeLINQ Setup: General Info Tab

NEW! A Force user to correct missed Clock-Out check box has been added.
- If this box is checked, employees must enter a clock out time before clocking in to another job.
- If this box is not checked, employees are not required to enter a clock out time before clocking in to another job.
